Pricing that fits how you bid
Most contractors pay a fixed fee per project. Steady bidders put an estimator on retainer. Need occasional help? Pay by the hour. Pick what fits, and change your mind anytime.
Three ways to work with us
Same estimators, same quality, different commitment. Nothing is locked in until you say so.
Per Project
Fixed fee, quoted up front
Send the plans, get a number, and the work starts only after you approve it.
- Quoted before any work starts
- Pay only for the projects you send
- Revisions included through bid day
Monthly Retainer
From $1,000/mo
A dedicated estimator on call for your volume, with priority turnaround built in.
- One estimator who learns your standards
- Priority turnaround on every set
- Best for 4+ bids a month
Hourly
$25/hr
Pay for exactly the hours you need, billed in clear increments.
- Billed in 30-minute increments
- No minimum commitment
- Good for one-off or overflow work
What sets the per-project fee
Every project is quoted individually, but the quote is not a mystery. Four things drive it, and you can usually predict where a project will land after your first job with us.
Sheet count
The size of the drawing set is the biggest driver. A 12-sheet tenant fit-out and a 300-sheet hospital are different jobs, and the fee reflects that.
Scope breadth
A single-trade takeoff costs less than a full multi-division estimate. You pay for the divisions you need priced, not a flat package.
Deliverable depth
Quantities only, quantities plus pricing, or a full bid-ready proposal package. Each level is quoted separately so you buy exactly what the bid requires.
Deadline
Standard turnaround is built into the base fee. A genuine rush, like a bid due in 48 hours, may carry a premium, and we tell you before you commit.
Why per-project works for most contractors
A fixed fee is known before any work starts, so you can weigh it against the cost of an in-house estimator or the bids you are currently not sending, and the math is straightforward. You approve the number, then it does not change.
It is the simplest way to bid one project at a time, which is why most contractors start here before moving to a retainer or hourly arrangement as their volume grows.
Included in every project
- Revisions through bid day
- Addenda tracking during the bid window
- Marked-up plans with every takeoff
- Assumptions and exclusions documentation
- Bid-day questions answered, same day
Pricing questions
How is construction estimating priced?
Most projects are a fixed fee, quoted after we see your plans and scope. The fee is based on sheet count, the divisions involved, the deliverable depth, and the deadline, and you approve the number before any work starts. If you bid steadily or just need occasional help, a monthly retainer or an hourly rate are also available.
Can I pay hourly or set up a retainer instead of per-project?
Yes. A monthly retainer starts at $1,000/mo and gets you a dedicated estimator with priority turnaround, best if you send 4 or more bids a month. Hourly work is billed at $25/hr in 30-minute increments for one-off or overflow tasks. Nothing is required beyond what you choose.
Is the quote really free?
Yes. Reviewing your plans and quoting the fee costs you nothing and commits you to nothing. Most quotes go out within a few business hours.
What if the scope changes after you start?
Addenda and minor revisions within the bid window are included. If an addendum fundamentally changes the project, like adding a building, we re-quote the difference before continuing.
What does the fee include?
The agreed deliverables, revisions through bid day, addenda tracking, and answers to questions while your bid window is open. There are no per-question or per-revision charges.
