Everything between the plans and the bid
One partner for the full estimating workflow, from first measurement to submission-ready proposal.
Estimating that pays for itself
Contractors do not buy takeoffs. They buy more won bids and a lower cost of chasing them. Here is the math.
Win more work
Bid every job worth bidding
Capacity scales with your calendar, so winnable invitations stop going in the trash during busy weeks.
Win at 30%+, not single digits
Tight, defensible numbers let you bid close to true cost instead of padding yourself out of the job.
Never miss a deadline
A 24-48 hour turnaround means the bid goes in on time, every time, even when three are due the same week.
Spend less winning it
A fraction of an in-house estimator
Outsourcing every bid typically costs 80%+ less than keeping a full-time estimator on payroll. You pay per project, nothing in between.
Catch the six-figure miss
A scope gap or missed addendum caught before bid day is money that never leaves your pocket.
No software overhead
PlanSwift, Bluebeam, and RSMeans licenses sit on our books, not yours.
A full-time in-house hire
- Cost: Full salary, benefits, and software
- When you pay: Every month, bidding or not
- Capacity: One person's throughput
- Slow season: Still on payroll
Urban Estimation
- Cost: Fixed fee per project
- When you pay: Only when you bid
- Capacity: A full estimating team
- Slow season: Costs you nothing
For most contractors, outsourcing every bid costs up to 80% less than one salaried estimator, at a 30%+ win rate.

I'd been burned by outsourced takeoffs before, so I audited their first three jobs line by line. Found nothing worth flagging. I stopped auditing after that.

Nine bids due in one spring. The old me lets four of them go. We got all nine out the door and won three.

Common questions
What is outsourced construction estimating?
Outsourced construction estimating is when a contractor sends drawings to a remote team of estimators who produce the quantity takeoff, the priced estimate, or a bid-ready proposal, instead of hiring an in-house estimator. You keep control of the bid number and submission; the estimating capacity scales with your bid calendar.
How much does a construction estimate cost?
Most projects are priced as a fixed fee, quoted before any work starts. The fee is driven by sheet count, the number of CSI divisions involved, the deliverable depth (quantities only, priced estimate, or full proposal), and the deadline. Contractors who bid steadily can also put an estimator on a monthly retainer, or pay hourly for occasional work; see the pricing page for details.
How fast is the turnaround?
Most single-trade takeoffs and estimates are delivered in 24 to 48 hours. Full multi-division commercial sets typically run 3 to 5 business days. You get a committed delivery date before work begins.
Which trades and CSI divisions do you cover?
All CSI divisions, from sitework and concrete through finishes and MEP, across commercial, residential, and civil work. If a scope is not on our list it is still covered.
Where do you work?
Across the entire United States. Pricing is adjusted to the project zip code and wage environment (open shop, union, or prevailing wage), and civil work is delivered in DOT bid-item format.
How do we get started?
Send your plans and a sentence about the scope you are bidding. A senior estimator reviews them, returns a fixed-fee quote and a committed date, and work starts only after you approve. The first project is the audition: judge the deliverable itself.
