Urban Estimation

Estimating for Subcontractors

Trade-specific takeoffs and pricing for subs who need to bid more without hiring.

Most subs lose bids they never sent. The invitations arrive, the estimating desk is full, and good work goes unbid. We exist to make that stop: a trade estimating desk you can switch on during busy season and switch off when things slow down, with no retainer in between.

Concrete, framing, drywall, painting, flooring, roofing, masonry, sitework: your trade gets estimated by someone who knows how it builds, with crew-based labor and scope letters that match the GC's bid packages.

Priced the way your crews build

Labor comes from production rates for your means and methods, not generic books. Tilt-wall is priced per panel, drywall by level and rating, sitework in bank and loose CY.

Overflow or full desk, your call

Some clients send us two bids a year during crunch weeks. Others have closed their in-house estimating entirely and route everything through us. Both work, because there is no minimum volume.

Consistent with your history

We keep your waste factors, your labor structure, and your past bid results on file. Estimate number ten is faster and tighter than estimate number one.

Common questions

Which trades do you estimate most?

Concrete, framing and lumber, drywall and finishes, painting, flooring, roofing, masonry, and civil sitework make up most of the volume. If your trade is not listed, ask; all CSI divisions are covered.

Can you handle several bids due the same week?

Yes, that is the most common reason subs come to us. Capacity scales with your bid calendar, and each project still gets a committed delivery date.

Will you work with our numbers and our pricing?

Yes. Many subs have us produce the takeoff and labor hours, then apply their own unit pricing. Others want the full priced estimate. Both are standard.
